Nobody can foresee BoE dropping below 0.5%; everyone says the next move has to be up...

Can we have a few colours nailed to masts here? Hands on hearts, when and by what kind of rise do YOU foresee this happening?

It will rise by 0.5% in Jan 2010, followed by a 2 month hiatus, before rising again by 1% every three months, reaching the level of 5% by the end of the year.*
*This is purely a guess. The value of anything can go down as well as up. Your home may be at risk if you do not send me £5 in loose change every full moon.0 -

SO do we see a 0.25% cut in feb/march with strong pressure on the banks to reduce their rates by a lot more to reflect the falls in libor?!
