Best place to buy white vinegar, bicarb of soda and soda crystals?

Where's the best place to buy white vinegar, bicarb of soda and soda crystals?

I buy most my groceries from ALDI now (didn't see any in my local one), but can go Tesco/Morrisons/Asda/Sainsburys.

Any suggestions?

?

Depends what you mean by "best place" You can buy vinegar and bicarb in nulk from Asian supermarkets :D

I got my vinegar in a big 5L container from an Asian supermarket - I saw they had 3kg packs of bicarb too but I'm already stocked up. I get the washing soda and bicarb from Tesco. They have normal sized containers of vinegar too - the own brand is reasonably cheap if I remember rightly.

By 'best place', I mean the cheapest.

I'd been to some Asian supermarkets just last week - shame I missed my opportunity to buy in bulk!

I guess Mr T's might be a good option then....

Farm shops often do the big bottles of vinegar too - I bought a 5l bottle of Vinney malt vinegar last week for £3 and they had the white too. Slightly cheaper in the chinese supermarket (£2.75 for the 5l IRC).

Anyone know where I can get borax? It's a great degreaser for use on the cooker hood, for example, and I used to get it from Boots, but they've discontinued it. I even looked at the Boots website, but no go.

Boo hoo. Just did a search on Google for Home Bargains - there are none within 50 miles of where I live - by the looks of their map, could be more like 150 !!!
  • hathor, I got Borax from a Chinese supermarket.

So if you have one locally might be worth paying a visit.
