inheritence

I have heard that if i get my parients to change their will leaving all to my children then if anything happens to my parients as they are old, the money will not have to go towards my IVA. Is this correct?

    Yip!

Why would something you dont inherit go towards your IVA?
Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

So my 'minor' child assets don't count as my own.

Could I still be custodian of their accounts effiectively giving me access to the funds?

You'll only be holding their inheritance in Trust and so although you can access it, it's not yours and so of no concern to your IVA
