  • Can you use someone elses double points/ bonus points coupons? My dads got sent a few through the post but he hardly goes to Boots! Do they have to be used by the person whose name is on them? Would come in handy for me :)

ACM is very unfriendly but have a mailing and friend has given me hers too. Am wanting to buy Miss Dior perfume -- does anyone think these would work together?

    252 normal points
    252 double point coupon
300 or however many points it is acm total spend coupon
150 pts wys £20 or more in a single transaction
500 pts wys £30 on any fragrance
400 pts wys £45 or more in a single transaction
350 pts wys £40 or more in a single transaction

Most of those can't be used on a Christmas evening and if they all work, I'd do better to get them on a 'normal' shopping day?

Hi just a quick reply but i tried using the double points and 150 points wys £20 together and the till beeped, i gave the £20 spend one in 1st if that helps. I would be interested to know if any of these have worked in combination for anyone pls.

    Regards

    Nab

I used an ACM 250 on £35 spend, together with a 400, 150, 300 and 250 extra points from mailing. Highest spend qualification was £45.00 on the 400 points voucher. Got a beep on the other 2 extra points vouchers that I did have because they don't start until the 1st December. Used a mixture of both mine and DD's.

Plus double points of course, so in total got 1718 points for a £46.15 spend so additional 518 than I would have got for a 50 squid spend at a Xmas event.

    HTH :D

Used goldie for Ruby & Millie http://www.boots.com/en/Ruby-Millie-Nail-Refine_927652/ nail file. SA said she didn't think it would work as someone earlier had tried the compact mirror and it wouldn't accept goldie. Anyway, she tried and it worked! Payed £1 using goldie. Also bought R & M lip brush using another goldie which went through in separate transaction. Bought Dove body wash on BOGOF and 2 bottles diet coke(got free patricia field bag with coke) with that transaction and ended up with ANOTHER goldie! What am I gonna buy next?:rotfl:

Today I got a R&M nailpolish and a blusher. Used the goldie + an ACM voucher for 750 points when buying 2 R&M products. I then used my £5 off R&M from my mailing, the SA wasn't sure if it'd work but scanned it through anyway and it did! So that was £10 saved, 750 points gained ;)

A sales assisant wouldn't try my fragrance voucher on any reduced item today
She is a well known pita though but she was the only 1 in the shop today.

I might try again tomorrow and see if I can avoid her. (no ss tills in my nearest shop) & the bigger stores don't have much sale stock left.

Why some of them are bothered I don't know

Because they don't want to get into trouble from the high powers. I used to work in boots and the managers can be pretty harsh on those who don't obey the rules.

I wonder about this too as my mum gets them but never uses them, she has offered them to me but I have never used them as I assumed you have to be the person named on them.

Thank you, Sue Oh, I shall try and report back. Can always say I don't want it because (true) duty free it's £50 and it's only worth buying it in Boots if I get the points.

Edit: Will wait to do this. Have just found that last year at the first Christmas evening some people got a till spit offering another 500 points wys £50 on one of the later christmas evenings. If I get one of them, it will be better to buy the perfume at the later Christmas evening as that way I'd get 2552 points back.

Twinkle & ShopnDrop, yes you can use coupons with someone else's name on it. They work and I've only had it queried once and then I simply said they were given to me. (And am sometimes shopping for neighbour, using her coupons and then I just tell them that.) But I think your card might 'know' when the double points coupon has been used twice -- not sure, but be warned.
