I must go and see if i can get the Sanctuary gift set thats on offer, and yes it would be great to have the old site back up and running. I often wonder how mimi's dad is doing and miss Sandra Scarlets poems0

last year when the offer ot the week (OOTW) was running it was still a part of the 342.
SO in theory if you manage to go on a xmas shopping event night it works out cheper than buying in the jan sales.
For example.
Random item that normally costs £50
OOTW price £25
buy 3 on 342 total to pay £50
Plus you get 1200 for spending £50 (at christmas shopping events only)
So in theory £38 for £150 worth of items.
If you dont make it to a shopping night you get 200 points for spending £50 plus you can use any minimum spend points you can get out of the ACM.
And i think there is a new £5 of No7 voucher WYS £5 out today too. So another bonus.
So if you plan your shopping right you can maximise the points offers, but usually the OOTW sells out really quick.
Best thing to do is to gather all your boots coupons together, write a list of what you need and work out the best way to do it for as little a spend as possible.
I miss the boots grabbit thread, although my bank balance doesnt, i still have cupboards full of items from last xmas, but i'm gonna struggle to do as well this year without everyone else's help.
I do think that all us MSE's rushing out on a friday morning to bag ourselves the OOTW should wear something we can all recognise each other by, then we can help each other out, i'd love a boots buddy to spot and share glitches with.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Last year they done a St Tropez kit for OOTW. Hope they do it again this year!0

Just wondered if any boots employees could tip us off as per future ffer of the week.
We had some good tip offs last year and i am hoping for the fcuk bags.
Just helps with working out what to buy when.
no point buying on shopping evening if the items you want work out much cheaper on ootw.
I miss the boots thread although i did stop posting that much when i got addicted to comping0 -

Oh andymandy - what a nice thing to say! I'm still here and going strong, and agree with everything everyone else has said about grieving for the ol' Boots Grabbit, and have posted something here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=25768857&posted=1#post25768857 post number 28
I know it seems as daft as a box of frogsthat a small group of people would post in such a way that the whole thread was removed, but alas, that's the case.
If you're new to Bootsing and want to maximise every penny in your purse, you'll find that some of the most Bargainious Bargains require mathematical calculations that could win you the Nobel Prize!
My advice for what it's worth is this. If you print off every coupon that you're offered in the ACM, whether you think you'll need it or not, and keep them in a brag book, or an envelope, then you may well find that before they run out, another offer will be introduced that could be combined with the coupons you've got. :j
If these are combined with OOTW (Offers Of The Week), 3 for 2s, £5 off this, that and the other, 300 extra points when you spend at least £25 that day in that store, Christmas Evenings, double points etc, you may find that your goods have cost very very little ............... and sometimes it works out that Mr B is paying us to take the goods away! :j:j:j
HTH

:TI want Boots Grabbit back too!!!!
Hopefully MSE will allow us a Christmas one to get in the spirit of the festivities!0 -
Let's just hope that if we are scrupulous about not going wildly off topic, and mind our manners, this thread won't be closed down. I can't imagine not planning my life around the 50% and 75% sales!0

_pale_ the blood drains from my face every time I hear mention of the 75% sale :rotfl:
I'd like the boots thread back too.:A
