I just read some work written by a boy from Zimbabewe.
He left a while ago. He doesn't say much about it except that he was sad. He has come here now so he is ok. He wants to be a lawyer, to go to uni, he wants his life to be straightforward.
Do you know how unlikely that is? the school system is against him, it won't teach him properly. I hate our system. it is so backwards.
I teach for pupils like him. I do still despite the cynicism despite the hell that awful man puts me and friend through that boy is the reason why.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
