Ceramic floor tiling

What would be a rough cost per square metre of having ceramic tiles laid, the floor is concrete. It has a few lumps and bumps where a couple of walls were removed. The room is about 6mts x4mts. Thanks in advance.

hi just had ours done over weekend and we paid £18 per square metre including adhesive and grout..hope this helps0

Depending on how big and how many 'lumps and bumps' there are, you may need to re screed or use a self levelling compound first. This would obviously raise the height of the floor though. If there aren't that many, then you may be able to chip them off or grind them down.
I would say the previous price is cheap. I would budget for anywhere between £20-£30 per m2 depending on where in the country you are. Try to get a reccommendation and 3 quotes.

Hi. Alan M is right, i think that £18m2 plus grout and adhesive is far too cheap, the cheapest materials must have been used, good luck to anyone who can do jobs at that price.
Im am in London and normally charge £35 per M2, just for labour.
Depends on the 'lumps and bumps', personally I would rather put self levelling compound down first to work on a flat floor, getting the best results possible. After all, that is what most people want.
You could go for the cheaper option and bodge trying to scrape or grind them off which would probably cause more work anyway, or tile straight over them. Just remember, more often than not, you pay a cheap price, you get a cheap job.0
