Sky and AOL reduction in monthly subs ;-)

just had a call from AOL wanting to know if i would like a) a free wireless router b) a reduction of monthly price c) free 3 months broadband ... i opted for the free 3 months ... well happy thats a saving of around £45 for that. will ring again after xmas try and get another 3 months free...

ALSO i rang SKY today and said i cant afford to pay for sky due to xmas etx and would need to at least suspend if not cancel my subs... (£18pm) The lady was really helpful and said you can have sky for a 25% reduction for 6 months... so i only pay £13 a months... result!!!!

just thought i would share incase anyone wants to try this..

Works well with Top Up TV too, my Dad got it for £6 a month for a whole year by repeatedly phoning to cancel.

I used to ring Sky a couple of times a year asking how I go about cancelling as I couldn't afford it at the time (I genuinely couldn't) but the offered me half price subscription for 3 months every time. It got on my nerves as well that all the cheap offers were only for new customers but we had been with them for about 12 years and got nothing so it was a bonus.
