Average price of Gas and Elec for 2 beds
Comments
-
Hi there
That's an interesting question. There are 101 different variables to consider, however, as a very rough guide, the typical usages for a 2 bed flat are:
Gas - about 14,000 kWh/yr
Electricity - about 2,500 kWh/yr
If you plug these figures into a comparison site, you would get something like £500 a year if you shop around, the average is £550 to £600. The figures will vary depending on where you live. Have a go and see what you get.
I hope that helps a bit.
Best regards

I would hope it wouldn't be that much.
I am in the same position, ie 2 adults not in during the day, we have Gas central heating & hot water/gas cooker and fire.
Our annual bill this year will be £660 - that's for the price with SE at the moment, that's a £35/£20 split in favour of Gas.
But this is on a 3 bedroom end terrace house.
The energy companies will likely give you a good idea - for example I had already worked out, from my previous figures, what I wanted to pay for Gas and Leccy when I switched to Southern Electric, before I could mention it he came up with the idetical same 2 amounts.
