Received Fake Sony memory Stick - what's the best Paypal dispute option?

Hi Guys, i received a fake Sony Memory Stick off Ebay (which doesn't even work BTW) & i've emailed the seller informing him of the fault, plus the fact i know it's a fake.
He emailed back asking for me to return it to him, then i'd receive a refund.
Well, as we all know - there's no point returning something back to a "dodgy seller" (well, any seller for that matter) without using a trackable postal method. So this will cost me £1.22 at least to send it Recorded Delivery!
Why should i have to fork out another £1.22, to return a faulty and FAKE item back to him & be out of pocket?
I've sent him another email stating all this, but it's being ignored.
So basically, which Paypal dispute route should i go down (to ensure i get my refund quicker)?
Do i say the "item was not as described/faulty"?
Or do i say outright that the item is fake/counterfeit? (which they sometimes have to investigate further & could be more hassle in the end)?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Just got an email back from him asking to do a "deal".
"The Deal" is.............I leave him positive feedback & he'll give me a refund.
This guy's seriously taking the p1ss!0 -
If you open a SNAD in paypal and can prove its a fake (a letter from a sony dealer or something) You won't have to return the item for a refund0
