Starting new contract Not Switching

I've sold my house and cancelled all utility contracts.
Now waiting to exchange a buy new place.
Can i still use the switching services or do i have to stick with the current suppliers at the property?

    You have to initially register with the current supplier to the property you are buying. You are free to change to any supplier. The process takes approx 28 days.
