We are currently in our 4th year of an IVA with Grant Thornton and I can't fault them. They have always been professional, made sure we understood everything that was explained to us and we haven't had any problems or worries during our IVA. Looking forward to that final payment in December 2010 though. :T0

Me back again with an update. I decided not to go with GT as I only spoke to" juniors" Discovered another IP via these threads and was able to meet directly with the IP who was supportive and realised the stress I was under. Importantly, no fee until work is undertaken. I am now in possession of my IVA F&F proposal which I am signing today. Its quite emotional, and I am also saying goodbye to my car, to get a cheaper one. Wish I had done this some time ago, but with work going well I could afford to pay creditors, not any more! Wish me luck in getting my proposal through ! and thanks for support in the past. I will let you know the result hopefully next month.0

Our F/F IVA was with Grant Thornton...Dawn Shelly to be exact and she saved our lives...I mean it. She was always available to ring or email....even after it was all done and dusted she would contact to see how we were getting on. I couldn't have thanked her enough....she never once made us feel bad and always supported us. I remember that very first day going to the office to meet her and i was just crying non stop saying how i couldn't believe we had managed to let things get so out of hand....she was so lovely and didn't judge us at all.
Our debts where 77k with 11 creditors and we got a F/F for 22p in the £...that was in march 20060 -
Glad it has worked out for you amberrose, my F&F is 23p in the £, just hope they accept it !0

why ring GT. CCCS seem to think they are the only people in NI who can help. They told me that as well. I have now gone to another IP in NI who have been very good. PM me and I will tell you their name0

Hi,
Probably a bit late replying to this but thought mayaswell.
My friend is using Grant thornton for her IVA and I have to say i think they have been hard work for her, she started about a year ago and it took around 6 or 7 phone calls each time to try and get to speak to someone, it was always leave a message and someone will get back to you, which they didnt or the person who answered just fobed her off. But she was desperate and because they had all her documents she just stuck with them, although the IVA did go through, they have a lot to learn with their customer care and empathy.
I personally used McCambridge Duffy for mine and they were excellent, would recommend to anyone, completed my IVA in AUg 09 without any hitches or hassles.0 -
