help airport parking tickett

hi , i pre paid for three days parking at liverpool airport and parked in the correct zones etc, However on my return i had a tickett stuck to my window screen for a £50 parking fine (if paid within 28days ) £70 following
it stated an the back th reason as being 3d parked in non designated parking space
i was parked between two white lines with cars iether side of me (admittedly the one to my left where parked longways ) there where no signs to say 'no parking' yellow lines or any other indication i could not park there,
i wrote to the company Passenger Transport Solutions UK at Stafford to appeal agianst this parking tickett, i have recieved a reponse which says they wont consider my appeal untill i have paid the fine and i have a total of 21 days to do so or my appeal will not be heard ,
do i have to pay this before i can appeal ?

Only if you're the world's most gullible person.

You paid the fee, you parked the car, they are a private company and can't fine you. Don't bother writing any more, just ignore all their unenforceable demands for payment - they won't go to court as they don't have a leg to stand on.

If you were in a dark alley facing a mugger, would you hand over your money then "appeal" to get it back? Treat this the same way.
