    You cannot withdraw money from a cash machine at 0%. That would apply to virtually all credit cards.

    Virgin is one of a few rather special cards that will allow you to transfer cash from the credit card to your current account, at balance transfer rates. You would pay a handling fee (4% of the funds shifted), but there are no other charges for the first 16 months. You then have funds in your current account with which to pay back your relative.
