Gas used when running bath, washing up, etc?

Is there a webpage or tool which gives a rough idea of how much gas is used when you perform a certain task, such as run a bath or run a hot tap for 5 minutes?
I am consistently surprised by our gas bills during the summer, when the heating and hot water is set to "off", and our shower is electric as is our hob. So our only use of gas should be, runnign a bath (infrequent!) and doing the washing up (also infrequent, what can I say, we've got better things to do!)
Our 2 summer quarterly bills have both been about £120 this year (based on correct meter readings) and I'm just wanting to work out whether its reasonable.
Thanks very much.

I'm not sure if there are any web pages but you could read your meter before and after certain things. There was a person on this forum that made a spreadsheet to calculate cost based on meter readings.
I'm sure if you put spreadsheet into this forums search you will find it.
Something isn't quite right as we have our gas on for an hour in the morning and about an hour in the evening to heat the water for showers. We also cook every night on the gas hob and our summer bills are £15 per month for a 4 bed detached.

if you got hot water tank that your using gas if you use the hot water or not.0 -
CrashUK - thanks - very helpful as I will admit to not understanding how our boiler works. That also explains why I sometimes come home from work and the boiler is randomly on for a while, guess its topping up the hot water tank.0

Don't forget that the pilot light(if you have one) can use a lot of gas - a couple of threads on this issue.
A well lagged HW tank should only lose 2kWh to 3kWh a day, but if it is has poor insulation it will lose a lot more.
However for the type of use you state, £120 a quarter does seem very high.0 -
Quoting how much you pay doesn't really provide useful infromation as it depends what tarriff you are on.
You need to quote how many units you are using.
Our last quarter gas bill was 877kwh. We cook with gas, our young daughter has a bath almost every night, two of us have a shower every morning. Water provided from a multipoint heater.0 -

Agreed.
To pay £120 a quarter indicates a consumption of at least 3,000kWh0
