Hi
I am considering going for a Debt Releif Order and have recently been contacted by several Debt Collection Agencies on behalf of my Creditors.
I have already advised my creditors of my situation, provided them with Income & Expenditure info and currently have a monthly Standing Order set up with them all for the £1 Token Payments which have been taken now for at least 3 months.
I cant manage any other repayment options as I have no residual money so my only way out is a DRO.
My question is should I tell my creditors and their Debt Collection Agencies that I am preparing for a DRO or say nothing and apply for DRO without them knowing?
I am apprehensive that if I tell my creditors / their collection agencies that they will try and beat me to it and go to court etc and this would ruin my chance of being approved for a Debt Releif Order.
Sorry to sound rambly its all getting me down now and I just want it completed I am so nervouse of applying for the Debt Releif Order and scared I put the incorrect info or forget to include something and it gets rejected - then I have ruined my chance of being debt free!
Thanks in advance.

A CCJ could be included in a DRO anyway, so not a problem.
Personally I wouldn't tell them.
Just take the advice on DRO's from an approved intermediary, and go for it if that is what you and they think is best.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
