Laptop Warranty

I purchased a Maxdata laptop from Asda online back in March 08 with a two year warranty using my Asda credit card. The laptops has broke and Maxdata has gone bust and I'm wondering if I am able to claim from my credit card insurance, or if Asda are liable in any way?

Many Thanks in advance !!!

Yes, Asda are responsible for your claim for remedy under the Sale of Goods Act, as they are the retailer. Even if the manufacturer has gone under (and hence the warranty has gone too), you still have rights to claim a remedy (i.e. repair/replacement - the decision will be Asda's)
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
