When to transfer my balance

Hi,

I've finally (hooray!) paid off my Barclaycard, ready to transfer a balance from another card to take advantage of the Barclaycard 6.9% balance transfer offer.

My question is, when should I do the balance transfer? I know that I'll have some trailing interest from this balance on my next statement due on the 26th October, and I'll pay that immediately. However, should I do the balance transfer as soon as that payment has gone through, or should I wait another month for a zero balance on my statement in November, and then do the transfer. (Or, will it only make pennies of difference?)
