wow this is going to be one posh shed! surely the more things i have the higher the cost?

Adding extra sockets or lights is a small cost compared with that for providing the supply. It's easier (and cheaper) to have it done all at once whilst he (or she) is there.
  • ok thanks :) i've put a job listin gon my builder & i will ask my neighbour, may also ask the guy who did the electrics in the garage conversion

It will be fine, risk is no greater than if it were in your house! It will have an MCB protecting it from overload and an RCD protecting it from faults just as it would in your kitchen/utility.

Do you have an opening window? Don't forget you will have to vent the tumble dryer to outside through an opening. If you just leave it to vent inside, the damp air it produces will eventually cause the wood to rot/mould to grow.

I've recently had this done so that I could put my tumble dryer in the shed and it cost me £95.

I have a double socket (one of those outdoor ones), the shed is about 2m away from the house and the supply runs from the house via armoured cable which is secured alongside a raised patio area which the shed stands on.

It was done by a Part P registered competent electrician.
    August £10 a day challenge- £27/£310

is the cable covered? i have to be careful because i have chickens & wouldnt want to come home to fried chicken hehe
