I am moving out of home on the 5th December
I currently have the Phone Line and Broadband with Virgin Media, have been a customer since the NTL days
My question is, is it 30 days notice when cancelling? So for example if I phone up on November the 1st my account/usage will actually finish on the 1st of December?
Thanks in advance

Yes, and no. It is tidier to end your contract in tandem with your billing date - so give a MINIMUM of 30 days notice, with the service to end with the date of last billable date. This saves on part-month adjustments. All this assumes you;ve not taken additional or changes services that re-impose a 12 month minimum.0

My billing date is the 8th of each month, according to my Virgin Media statement.
So should I look to cancel on the 8th November? Assuming that will finish the 8th December?
Also no, I have had no changes to my package in the last 12 months, id say last 18 months to be honest
Is it best to cancel in writing or by phone? I know by phone they try and keep you and give you a better deal, but I do not want to carry on with them, I intend to have BT and Sky in my new home
