  • I wish I lived nearer too Sammy. I think we could help each other a lot - and not only with the food!

Silly DWP sent a letter yesterday saying they cannot backdate my clainm due to ref 19(4) blah de blah and to phone for explanation. Girl on phone had no idea but apparently an award letter will reach me soon.
Give up - will not be deterred from positivity. £45.71 a week is a princely sum after all.

I am dressed and beakfasted and the bed is changed. I am trying to do what normal people do if working - ie get up and ready for 9am. All this lazing around has to stop.

Talking of slow cookers I was gonna do sausages in the slow cooker 'a la Maz' but do I brown the sausages first do you think.

Definitely brown them - better flavour (swish some hot water around the pan you use and pour into slow cooker too - picks up all the flavours left in the pan - called deglazing if you want to be a bit cheffy;)) I would soften the onions first too if you're putting them in.
