HELP i cant edit my listing to remove free postage on furniture

i have a set of 3 chairs on ebay for 10 days, 2 days left to go and somone asks about the free postage, i did not select free postage when i listed it, i typed in bold letters collection only but a bidder is far away and thinks postage is free.
I tried to edit my listing but it wont let me remove or edit the free postage offer.
have they changed some daft rule that is causing these problems ?
oh i wish there was a worthwhile alternative auction site, bring back free yahoo auctions , them were the days

If it's got a bid then you can't change stuff like that- are you sure it doesn't say "pickup only: free"?
Personally I would cancel their bids and then block them, as it's pretty obviously meant to be collection only. This page should help if you don't know how to do all that: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/manage_bidders_ov.htmlThis is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -

no it says free p&p
i have taken your advice and cancelled the highest bidder i also emailed the other bidder to advise them of this and ask if they want their bid cancelled or not.
i did not realise i could not edit the postage costs due to their being a bid already on the item.
thanks for your help :beer:0 -
There is a big difference between free postage and collection only and it looks like you may have chosen the wrong option when listing.
For free postage to show you need to have nothing shown in the postage box, and that automatically resets as free postage. For items that need collection you must actually amend the drop down box on the listing details that states either 'collection only' or 'postage costs'.
Don't forget as well that you may still run into the paypal problem. As you can't amend the listing I might be tempted to actually cancel the whole auction
and start again in case you get a last minute bidder who causes problems wanting free postage as stated in the auction.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
