Better-off calculation?!!

been there my self they throw u 2 the wolves ! its never how much they say ,
i work 20 hrs week and on that i will have 2 pay about 50 quid a week rent i have one child at home since my my son left i lost 70 pounds a week in tax credits and my rent has nearly doubled !! how do they work that one out !!!
n they wonder why people arnt keen on going 2 work !!
i had the chance 2 work more hours and if i had i would have lost council and housing benifet and the free eyetest dentist etc !

Exact same happened to me i was told i would be £62 better off a week ended up being only £6 and after a year i lose the £40 back to work payment meaning i will be £34 a week worse off .
I also lost the free school meals and have to give the kids packed lunches.
I trusted my advisor and in my case also it was the housing benefit and council tax benefit that was all wrong the jobcentre can only give a rough estimate and these estimates are usually way off.
Would actually like to know if anyones better off calculation has actually been right.
