Can anyone help me...???

My boyfriend and I are going to Devon for a short holiday in a few weeks - which will coincide with his Birthday.
I have already planned a trip to Paignton Zoo for his birthday treat - so that he can see the Tiger cub that I adopted for him earlier this year.
Later that evening, we are going to the Nobody Inn for dinner - and I would love to surprise him a little bit more by having a birthday cake waiting for him....

so - does anyone have any ideas of how I can get a cake (if it looks like a Tiger, then even better!!) delivered to the restaurant ready for his Birthday meal??

He will be driving us on holiday, so it isn't like i can sneak out and take a cake to the pub....

Any ideas???
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

I would recommend the cakes from this bakery although there is not one in Torbay, I think Plymouth is the closest. I purchased a cake for my dad's 80th birthday from Rowes of Saltash and it was lovely. Have no idea if they would deliver.

Failing that there is a Warrens in Torquay, but I cant actually say whether their cakes are nice.

  • You could try Cakealicious - I've been for tea and cake there before and it was really good. They make cakes to order and deliver for free (though I'm not sure if they'd charge to deliver to the Nobody Inn. Could be worth a shot though!)

Thank you - I've contacted Warrens and Cake a licious - so we shall see what they say! We are staying about a mile away from Nobody Inn.

Thanks for all your help - I knew I could count on this forum!!

I would contact the Nobody Inn, because they may not want someone else's cake coming in. Although I've usually had no problem with this.

    Hi Sue
I have already checked with the pub and they are happy for me to take my own cake, and they will look after it until our meal.
They gave me the details of a bakery that they thought could help, but it is a commercial bakery, and doesn't do public sales.
