Itunes and unathorised credit card charge?

Options
I signed up to itunes and reg my capital one card. I also had a £10 itunes voucher which I added. I have only watched a free film so my purchase history shows no chargeable downloads but they have charged cc £1.58?? I view it as fraud and have emailed them.

Anyone else known?

    I view it as fraud...
I view it as a condition of doing business with them...
If a credit or debit card company, or your Click&Buy account, is being used for a transaction, iTunes may obtain a pre-approval from the credit or debit card company or from Click&Buy (as the case may be) for an amount up to the amount of the order.

Slightly off topic but still on topic sort of :D .

Itunes(APPLE)were found guilty of overcharging people from the UK compared to those in Europe by the EU government.£0-79p per song here, £0-69 p per song in Belgium etc, given that they were told to cut their prices to UK !!!!!! have they INCREASED some prices to £0-99P per song, any ideas anyone???????

i've just had the same problem.

i've used a newly registered credit card with iTunes (O2 Money) and bought a £0.59 app. However, they took £1.58 plus £1.58 plus £1.00 from the card £4.16 in total). There's no £0.59 showing.

    the iTunes account says £0.59.

O2 Money say it's not their problem, call iTunes.

    what's happening here?

iTunes and o2 money combined is weird!!!

£1.58 test purchase @ the registration of your card.

The o2 money purchase texts messages amounts are often different (higher) I.e 32p v £1.00 and £1.89 v £2.36. AND

Some purchases are not text @ the time and can take 2 weeks to
    appear.

    I could go overdrawn!!!!

    Wonder what is going on???
