Citi/AAdvantage Visa Gold Card

Well today in the post was letter from Citi saying that

"Following a review of out product tane, we have decided, in association with American Airlines, to no longer offer the Citi/AAdvantage Visa Gold Card after 21st December 2009"

"We apologise for any inconviencience this may cause blah blah we will tranferring you to our Citi Gold Visa Card, American Airlines will aloso be offering a new AAdvantage credit card in the coming months and will write to you seperataely on any new card to be launced with another Provider"

Quite sad news as I love this card and already have enougth points for a one way trip to America purley by using this card 1 AA mile for every 1 pound spent on the card, I really hope MBNA do not take over, must be a sign of the times for Citi

I got the same letter myself.... thing is our citi card will be the same, just a new design etc - maybe (just maybe)...

In case you never knew, you cannot apply for a citi card at the moment and this could explain it if they're waiting on design or a handover date etc...?....

Every 6 months you can ask for an increment to the equivalent of 50% of your existing limit..... they tend to refuse more than they accept though.... :rolleyes:
