I noticed last week that the price for my iceberg had shot up since the week before. This is apparently due to recent flooding in areas of Spain. Uk suppliers for the catering trade have been reccomending gem, or other british grown produce readily available and in season at the mo.
A strange post i know, thought it was just a supermarket conspiracy cos we were getting closer to summer. mmmm.
sometimes i wish i didn't pay so much attention to prices my shopping would be easier, but i guess more expensive.
Save money, buy British

I am normally good at looking at prices but thought it is only a iceberg lettuce will only be about 70p. Nope in sainsburys I was too was charged 99p.
Did not know about the floods in spain. I assumed that as the british icrebergs will on the market soon the prices would be coming down.
The cheapest I saw them was 89p but for the life of me can't think of where though.
