Hi, i have joint cover with my dad as we live in the shame house. Last year i went with the aa, as i was with the rac and the renewal price was very expensive. This year for joint cover the aa quoted £181.00 this is for roadside, relay & home start.
I have emailed the aa and they said that they can take 20% of the amount i was orginally quoted. What do you think?
Last year i went through quidco, i got cashback for going through them and as i was a new customer i got a good rate.
What does everybody think??

That is unfortunate,
Seriously, get a quote as a new customer from RAC etc. via Quidco.0 -
Lol well done for noticing the mistake!!
Do you think that will be cheaper??0 -

Very likely, new customers always seem to get a better deal.
Don't forget Quidco.0 -
I pay £36 a year with Autoaid. Martin Lewis's recommendation, it's a pay and claim service though......0

+1 for Autoaid. I've been with them now for 2 years and unlike my car I have had no troubles with them. I understand though that the "pay and claim" aspect is off-putting for some people so if you do decide to go with the likes of RAC/AA definately check quidco/topcashback for offers.
I originally started out with RAC but found my renewal quote to be a joke (£120, £45 increase IIRC) so did not renew. The following year I got another quote (just to check) and it was £80 - so new customers do seem to get a better deal in my experience.
