Trains to Bristol from Crewe, Cheshire

Hi can anyone give me any advice to get as cheap as possible, 3 return tickets to Bristol, Temple Meads from Crewe Cheshire on Friday 9th October. I need to arrive in Bristol at approx 12 noon and depart anytime after 6pm. The cheapest I can get is approx £150 for the 3 of us!
Any help would be really appreciated.

You can do split tickets and get it down.
Eg. Advance purchase singles on sale today Crewe to Birmingham (£6), Birmingham to Bristol TM £15.50.
Return - Bristol to Birmingham £15.50, then Birmingham to Crewe £5. Total £42 return per person.
The cheapest through tickets Crewe to Bristol TM (change at Birmingham) are £56 return.0
