Does anyne know roughly the cost of joining mains water and laying pipe over a distance, say an approximate price per metre? We're looking at a remote building plot an just tryin to work out some very rough costings.

I live in an old type terrace and am on a shared supply with my neighbour, I had asked our water suppliers (Welsh Water) to come round and check the supply pressure and queried them about having a seperate supply.

I was told it would be about £1500 to get the plumbing done by a plumber in the house, then for every meter of pipe welsh water needed to lay from the boundary of my house to the main supply pipe I had to pay £120 per meter.

I am assuming this will be different to your own water supplier so perhaps a telephone call to them will get you the answer your looking for.
