Hi hopefully i will be going to Alton Towers this Sunday. I will probably going via car but i have been looking at public transport options. Now i can easily and quite cheaply get a train to Derby. My question is how far away is the bus station from the train station and how much are adult/childrens prices on the bus Derby to Alton Towers?
thanks in advance

If you check the full timetables on BenLs link (note that it's an excel-type spreadsheet with a different 'tab' for each timetable - I think you want the Nottingham X53 one) you;ll see that the bus actualyl stops at Derby railway station0

The spreadsheet says the bus which stops at Derby railway station doesn't operate on Sundays which is when the OP is going. Full Street in Derby (we don't have a bus station ) is about a 15-20 minute walk from the railway station. Normally when we go by public transport we get the train to Uttoxeter and then the connecting bus to Alton Towers.0

I`d stick with the car all the way
you`ll be glad of it by time you leave, exhausted and prolly cold too0
