What are my chances of getting an NIP?

I was driving on the M4 last week (between junctions 16 and 17) when I saw a big white van on a bridge (and yes it said council and security camera etc).
I think I was going 88 on our speedo which from sat navs I'm pretty confident it overeads by about 10%, so I was probably doing about 80.
I know I shouldn't have been speeding and I know I should have been concentrating more but what are my chances of getting a ticket?
I know I deserve it.
But does anyone know what speed they are set at?
Also will I get a chance in wilts to go on a course rather than get points?
If I go on the course do I have to declare that to an insurer?
I did read somewhere that it's not a conviction if you go on the course, but I'm unclear on that point.
Cheers for any pointers.
BTW - I have a clean licence at present so it's not the end of the world.
