Item returned due to buyer not collecting. How to proceed?

The buyer has replied saying he'll cover the return postage if I invoice him and send it to a different address. :undecided
I still don't like it. A different address would mean I wasn't covered (for what it's worth) by Paypal's Buyer Protection.0 -
Hi
Seems like a nightmare buyer. I have sent items to other addresses before and always recorded. I have always always made sure that the buyer emails the address request so if disputed have some proof. If i was you i would state that you are only willing to send recorded to the registered address and its his choice whether he wants the item or not.

I've only had this happen to me once so far, and the buyer was happy to accept a refund of the item cost minus the outward postage. (I forgot about the eBay fees tbh). He had actually left the country without collecting the item ha ha.They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
