My mother went for paper blinds designed for consrvatories that concertina up and down: don't get them! They crease badly and flies love them and its impossible to clean off fly spotting.
I woul go for fabric roman blinds. Being able to blok hot/bright sun out is great, and being able to trap heat in is useful too, if you want to use it year round.
We have normal two seater sofas and a couple of armchairs. I quite like the look of rattan, but yes, we ''loll'' in there. In fact, on of the sofas in there is a litle Victorian drop arm sofa. what is wrong with orinary furniture that fits? IMO, sofas on legs are better than divan type ones, as they let light through, keep the conservatory feeling.
Art fades quickly, opt for posters:o or bright ceramics. what else?
Colours etc, really depend on what you have already leding on to it, I would pull the sitting room colour though and dd lighter touches.
Slate will be super in the summer, you can add rugs in the winter, or year round. I'd always opt for hard natural surface myself.
OOOhhhhh - I'm getting more and more tempted by the second.....Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -

Not got a clue. I think my parents spent about £30k on the build of theirs, but it is big (I wasn't here then), apart from the blinds everything else we owned already.0 -

Me too.0 -
It's just the cost of the slates as opposed to carpets I was wondering about - I've seen decent slates at around £22 per sq m, so not too bad compared to carpet, but it's all the underflloor heating/insulation stuff I was wondering about. The conservatory is (almost!) up now!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0
