£400 to spend. Want sun. Where?

Hello you clever lot!!
Well as he title says, me and the other half have about £400 each to spend on a holiday.
We can go earliest November 23rd and return latest December 5th.

Would like to go somewehre for a week, got to be hot that time of year. Quite like culture holidays and history as well as beaches.
Have actually seen full board, 7 day cruises in egypt for £499 but that would be over budget and drinks are expensive on board.

So any suggestions guys?

How much spending money you got, it might be worth adding that on to your £400 and then going AI, until i've looked not sure if you'll get egypt for that, but you should get 1 of the canary islands.

Since you are looking at the low season, you might get a long-haul bargain. Goa, perhaps?

I'm going AI in Morocco - Agadir for just a little bit under £400. Firstchoice and quidco cashback of £15.

1 week in December. The weeks before ours were cheaper still

Wow the morocco oe sound like a great deal. We will have about £250 spending money each.
With the cheaper deals on the web do you think it is still worth trying to haggle the price down a bit or is that being too cheeky?

read Martin's guide in the link above - of course you'll be able to haggle a bit!!
Moreso in the Euro zone since the rate is so bad at the moment - will be nice and quiet with people not getting so much for their money when they're over there.;)

p.s. it helps to tell people which airport you want to fly from - London or Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast etc....and how far you're prepared to travel to the airport ( e.g. plenty cheap deals seem to appear when I'm loking for us, flying from Newcastle but we won't drive that distance to save just a few quid, as it spoils the start of the holiday for us;))

    ps how hot is hot?

  • I would DEFO go to Egypt.

Went last year in December, Weather is still in the late 30's.

AI is around 380 + at the moment.

Service is 10/10 in the Egyptian Hotels.

Gran Canaria is not as good (Per the rate of the euro at the moment)

And Morocco - No thank You!!

If youv'e been to Morocco then you will agree.

Well egypt does seem very good value.
Only concerns are that we would be limited to the hotel if we stayed in sharm as everything else would require paying for excursions.
What hotel did you stay in BYALPHAINDIA?
  • Dreams Beach Vacations, About 4 miles from 'THE 1 AND ONLY NAAMA BAY!!

All hotels have their own beach.

True about the excursions, But there are alot of activities in and around the hotel complexes for the whole family.

You can get a taxi into N Bay or upto 'Old Sharm' for little money!!

    What a place!!
