Moving money quickly from A&L to ICICI

My initial bonus with A&L drops on 30 June. Have already opened and serviced account with ICICI bank. The problem is they are linked only to my current account which is with HSBC Bank.
What would be the quickest way to get the money across? Seems to take about 3-5 days for A&L to move to current account in HSBC then another 3-5 days to ICICI bank. (Potentially could lose 10-12 days interest)
Can I do a BACS transfer from my A&L account to my ICICI account?

As long as the ICICI account has a sort code and 8-digit account number, all should be well with a BACS transfer. Have just joined today myself and don't know myself yet!

If you don't have A&L current account, open Premier Direct and get £50 via quidco and (probably) extra £25 for being reffered (PM me). This is more than any interest lost during a transfer. Link Online Saver to Premier Direct. Transfers are instant. Link ICICI to Premier Direct or just transfer from Premier Direct to ICICI:

Transfer will still take 3-4 working days, although you can pay £20-25 (I think) for the same day CHAPS transfer from A&L to ICICI

Some online saver issue 2's will drop from 5.15% to 4.25%. This does not affect all accounts. Some will keep the 0.9% bonus for a longer period. The A+L website has details which accounts this affects.

EDIT:

Accounts beginning with 180 Includes bonus of 0.90% fixed until 31/03/07

Accounts beginning with 177 Includes bonus of 0.90% effective from 14/10/05, fixed until 30/06/06

Just to follow up, I have today received my PIN to operate the newly-opened account. So it was quite speedy and angst-free!

I have fond that it takes 3 working days to move money from my current account into my icici account. Say for example I make the payment on a wednesday, the money appears in the icici account on the friday. I have yet to withdraw money from teh icici account back to my current account so I can't comment on how long that take, but I imaging that it too should only be 3 days.
