New 3 piece bathroom suite - any cheap suggestions

Hi there, I was thinking of getting the bath/toilet/sink Treviso set from B&Q for ~£280. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions
, I can spend up to £350 for a plain white suite. Going to have the bath with shower going into it and have a plumber who is willing to do an installation for me.
Cheers

Try looking at plumbworld on ebay. Just got a 2 piece (loo and basin) with an RRP of nearly £600 for £61.00 + £39.99 p&p (and yes, it is between £500-£600 elsewhere) It is gorgeous! Well as gorgeous as a loo can be anyway!0

Thanks slummymummyof3 - Did you have to bid for this or was it the regular price at buy now? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I have used plumbworld, also clickbathrooms. Often you find when you check prices for taps and waste they may be cheaper from another supplier. Always worth a quick search. You can phone clickbathrooms to talk it through, which reassures me before I place the order. They all deliver for about £5. There is more choice and better quality than the local DIY superstores. On ebay I got my s/steel bathroom cabinet for half the price that other suppliers wanted for the identical item.0

Don't get cheap B&Q rubbish . your plumber will hate you (assuming you actually find one who agrees to install it..you have told him your considering B&Q??)
Your better off getting branded sanitaryware from the likes of Twyford, Ideal Standard, Armitage shanks, Duravit, Vitra (see recent thread here for example).
I'd recommend https://www.homesupply.co.uk if buying online or PTS (plumber's merchant) if not (but as mentioned before haggle on price).
If you buy cheap tatt you'll probably end up buying twice..so it works out more expensive in the long run!

I recently bought my suite from ebay from a seller named bigbobsbathrooms. I paid around £320 for the full suite, taps, wastes and shower screen and delivery. It is a P shaped bath and looks lovely and I am very impressed with the quality as was my plumber.0

Is that the full suite currently advertised on their ebay page? Looking at the picture...it seems to be the same full suite being sold on bathshop321...with the same options to upgrade the shower screen. I'd be interested to know because I was looking into buying that suite but was uncertain about the quality.0 -
Search the forum..there's plenty of threads from plumbers advising against purchasing B&Q tatt!
For starters you probably won't get such a long guarantee, secondly availability of spare parts can become an issue when they stop stocking your chosen suite (big brands tend to produce stock for longer - B&Q etc may switch supplier or drop a product line at a moments notice), thirdly they don't tend to give you all the specifications up front of critical dimensions to your planning, fourthly and importantly the quality will be nowhere near as good - less attention to detail in manufacturer- poorer quality control - less time spent on research of product before manufacture - use of cheap valves etc, fifthly often more difficult to fit (big brands pay more attention to this sort of thing - for example Twyford TotalInstall which saves time and therefore money and causes less disruption), sixthly parts missing/delays in orders (was a case here of someone spending weeks and weeks getting a B&Q bath that matched their order), seventhly rubbish customer support (though these days you can get this almost anywhere.. my experience of Twyford customer support is an excellent one though)!
I'm sure we could add to the list! If your ok about all the above take your chances with B&Q...but good luck finding a decent plumber (not a cowboy!) who won't whinge all through the job because of the rubbish gear you supplied him with!
