HSBC "lost" my money

Ok asked Hsbc to open account with £501 off debit card they have taken that amount from my current account but only credited my online saver with £500. They "lost" a pound.

Hit help given a 0845 number to ring, dulley ring put on hold for 10min then told can only deal with Acc online though notes and to contact them that way. anyway about to write note any suggestions?

    I think you may find in the small print that they charge 2% handling fee?

    you could have easily used more than £1 on those 0845 calls.

    I asked for a refund on the calls also

    They gave me a fiver. Well chuffed, well about £3.30 after call and my original £1 they lost.

    yeah money for now't and only opened the Acc to get the bankholiday £20 offer, so just wait for that at end of june not bad interest for 6 weeks. plus the balance was borrowed at 0% so its not even mine...
