Very happy to see better news from mudbath - hugs to you all.

Also very specially gentle but big hugs for toots and lady-liberty.

Extremely busy weekend, so I've not had much time to catch up till this evening. Loads of school work though, and my eyes are really tired!

I know it's a bit late, but I did actually do the bathroom,:D:D:D and DD has started shovelling out her room...I also spent another hour trying to remove the shrub - with a mattock this time.

sexymouse - I missed your post about problems I think while we were away. I'll email - tomorrow if I manage to stay awake long enough - full day, no frees and a meeting after...

hi dusty and :hello:hex - I'm okay dusty, but still feel sort of hollow inside. Hex, have you planted your crocus yet? I couldn't get the trowel far enough into my baked clay. No rain here yet.

greenbee - have a wonderful trip!

Okay, going to watch CSI for a bit, then bed!

Evening all. Mudbath ((hugs)) for you and your DS.

I have spent most of the day trying to catch up on the stuff I hadn't got round to all week. Will try to keep on track this week.

Hopefully, this week will be a bit less manic. The twins birthday is out of the way and the new addtions to the family are settling in well (the two dwarf hamsters, they badgered me into getting them for their birthday)

The open evenings for upper school are all done. I really want the twins to get into the local catholic boys' school. It was top of my list before we went round and thankfully the twins like it too. I have been trying to write a supporting letter to go with the application all week, but can't seem to get the wording quite right.

OH has just rang to pick him up from the pub- If there is such thing as reincarnation I am coming back as a bloke!
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j
  • Evening all

Thank you piggers, toots and [STRIKE]dame ellen [/STRIKE]soappie.

Absolutely no chance of me getting a star for tomorrow, not when pigpen includes woodwork!

Just finished my getting stuff ready for tomorrow. It's a long one, but better when I'm organised.

Hi Hypno, nice to see you

Glad to hear things are better for Mudder's DS, that boddy's GSs are OK and that poohbear's DH is better.

Night night folks see you tomorrow night xx

Pooh - there is an old thread on here about lights and how you don't need the expensive ones, something to do with Ted H, light waves/brightness etc - I'll try to find it for you later

Boddy - hugs for you and your GSs and I hope they recover quickly

Rose - hope you had a good holiday

Toots - hope you get your tube sorted out tomorrow sweetie - RofD is DH office come dumping ground. It is also where the book cupboards are, the filling cupboard, ebay packing stuff, boxes of the kids pictures, photos etc - it is a big job and I'm dreading it.

Sexy - I hope you h ave a better week at work

    Frodders - hugs for you

    LL thinking of you

Mudders more healing vibes for your DS and love for your DD as she must be finding her brother being sick very hard too x

I'm in again, please. Thanks to pigpen, soappie and toots for keeping us going.

The house is starting to look better, but the real change is that I feel I will get on top of things eventually. I won't be going for a star this week. DS1's exchange student arrives on Friday night  and before then I must:

    1. clean the main bits of the bathroom, incl the floor
    2. declutter and mop the kitchen floor
    3. declutter a chair in the living room, and wipe the fire place
    4. tidy the dining room to the point where we can use it
    5. clear my stuff out of DS1's room (it used to be our bedroom) and ideally finish painting the walls
    6. declutter the floor and desk in DS2's room
    7. dig out the home insurance documents and claim for the stuff in the freezer, if possible
    8. get the freezer repaired (fingers crossed)
    9. write a list for DH to work through on his day off
    10. put clean and dry washing away.

I'll try to keep on top of places that are already sorted and delegate some tasks from the daily lists to DH, although he's not been well this weekend. While our visitor is here, I suspect I'll be providing a regular taxi service, but after that, things should get back to normal.

What are my chances for a phone call, saying that school will be closed tomorrow? ;)

Good night, everyone, and take care.
  • I'm in :D After my major slog this weekend, I'm hoping things may be slightly easier to achieve???? We'll see!

Thanks Pigpen, Toots and Soappie, for lists, mule flinging, stars and stand-ins! :T :T :T :D

Mudders glad to hear from you love, hope things get better and better now sweetie. Hugs to your DS from me please; and take some big supportive back rubs and hugs of understanding for yourself.

Well, folks, I'm now 7 days booze free. Most odd :) But I'm glad we're doing it, so thanks for your [STRIKE]kick up the @ss [/STRIKE] gentle encouragement to join in with Mrs B. I love you all so much... *sniff* ...
