The only thing that is not clean and sparkly in my kitchen is the radiator, it is shocking. How is it best to clean it? Obviously behing isn't such a problem as people can't see that (nor can I), the inside is grimy with cat hairs from previous owner, I have done what I can but I am not happy with it. The front looks really dirty, I have tried scrubbing it but it isn't spotless. There is another that needs a good clean too so any suggestions please?
I have a radiator brush from lakeland (you can get them from ethical superstore too, as they make your heating more efficient!) to clean the insides with and get the cat hair/spiders/wildlife out. For the outside, you may need to repaint it, but try wiping it with something like stardrops (you might be able to leave it on neat to work, but ask an expert as I don't actually use the stuff!)Mrs_Beatson wrote: »Now, we bought a new washing machine a few weeks back and they all come with a GREAT BIG sticker on the front telling you the energy rating etc... problem is.. Ive taken off the sticker but am left with the glue. Amy suggestions to get this off. I dont want to scrub too hard and scratch the front, but its just not coming off and Ive tried almost everything in my cleaning cupboard!!!
All suggestions welcome!!
As for your black food colouring, it sounds as if you need to tidy/declutter/reorganise your cupboards!:pGawd, told off from thousands of miles away. :rotfl:Honestly I'm not overdoing it, I physically can't, I just either go very slowly or stop, there's no fast paced here.:D
Hope you're enjoying yourself over there, I love the US, lived there many moons ago, loved the work hard, play hard, ethic and the food.....
Well someone needs to keep an eye on you, but I can understand that its pretty boring for you and you need something to do, so hopefully by taking it slowly you'll actually find you have achieved something productive with all the time you've had to take off, and dealt with all the things that have been annoying/stressing you for the last few years. I know it's tough for you at the moment, but hopefully there is a positive aspect, however small. And when you've finished your house you can come and house sit for me and sort mine out while I'm travelling. I expect lots of sightseeing tips when I'm in the US from now on! Any ideas what to see in Greenwich (Connecticut not NY) within walking distance of my hotel (Hyatt) as I really don't want to go home having done nothing but gym, work, pool, eat with the boss, sleep... although I might lose weight if I keep up the long early morning workouts - nearly 2 hours this morning!
Must go and get dressed and put on my face for work. I'll catch you all later.
Be good for Toots! xxx0 -

Afternoon
Not getting very far but DS1 room now done
I've just really bitten my lip eaten a slice of apple - how stupid.
The rain has stopped so I need to pop out in 5 minutes to the corner shop and the school I invigilate at to renew my CRB.
Hope to get on better this afternoon.
Sticky Stuff remover is fab and a bottle lasts years and years
Flatmate are good for radiators - from lakeland (as is the sticky stuff remover) you could wrap a damp cloth around a bamboo stick and secure it tight and use that. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
hi, I haven't read back through posts yet. I had another bad night and then woke at 9.20
Old dog had to go to the vets today and she has a significantly high kidney count. We have to go back later and collect blood pressure pills, food supplement and special food. I wish she was insured!
I am now ready to strt on the kitchen which DH has already swept in preparation of mopping.
I want to clean the oven with a strong oven cleaner but because we have a septic tank can't rinse in the sink. Any ideas? I have astonish, stardrops and washing soda but none of them are touching the inside of the doors. I have bought a Mr Muscle cleaner but it can't be rinsed off in my house. I also don't have a lot of ability in the 'elbow grease' area either.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
