Where can i sell used cosmetics?

I spent ages sorting out my make-up and taking pictures for ebay and then found out you can't sell used make-up on ebay.

Does anyone know where i can sell it? I have quite a lot including Dior, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden stuff.

Can i sell it at car boots? I don't want masses for it but want to make a little bit of money and get rid of stuff i don't use.

Car boots would probably be a good idea, or even those table top sales.

I don't know about the rules on ebid, might you might want to check them out.

Not sure how you would descibe the used goods on line as to quantity remaining, when bought etc. Cosmetics have a definitve life span and folk may be a bit funny about that??
• Most of barely used at all, impulse buys!

I guess i will go for a car boot sale where i will sell them cheaper than i would on ebay but at least i will get something for them. If i sold most items for 50p-£1 and £2/3 for the better items i could probably make about £30.

All the new items are currently been put on ebay as i type.

I have removed a couple of posts and can I please remind all users of the following rules :

EXCHANGING PERSONAL DETAILS

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

I have seen loads of used cosmetics on ebay  they all have new as the condition but in the actual listing they say used once etc

And i do believe i have seen somewhere on there that as long as you sterilise the brushes etc and put it in the listing you can ;). I could be wrong though
• I used to work for Virgin Vie and when I left I sold my kit on ebay, I just said that they were used for demonstrations. I made quite a bit of money off of them.

That might be the case for other sites but for ebay the rules are clear:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/used-cosmetics.html

Used cosmetics, excluding perfumes, are not permitted for sale on eBay.
Breaches of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
• Listing cancellation
• Limits on account privileges
• Account suspension
• Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
• Loss of PowerSeller status
There will always be listings on ebay that rbeach rules, there is no automatic policing that weeds out prohibited items before allowing people to list. They stay as long as people don't report them.

• I'm probably not going to take the risk as i have a great rating and don't want to risk this. I will just wait for a car boot and sell things there - at least i don't have to worry about any come backs from buyers that way and they can see before they buy.
Thanks for your help guys
