Hi,
I have not been on here in a while and have forgotten my username and password.
I was wondering if someone could help me.
I took out a car over a 5yr hire purchase agreement two years ago.
The contract stated at the half way point through the agreement I can exercise my right to voluntary terminate the contract. In doing so i have to return the car.
Now i would like to be able to do this now some 6 Month before my due date for a number of reasons. I could do with the monthly money, I am not using the car as much and i have been tipped off by a mechanic friend that its starting to show early signes of a major engine problem.
So rather than it cost me a fortune in the long run, how do i go about getting rid of the car now? is it as simple as paying upto the half way point and then asking for temination??
Regards

It's not a Honda, is it?Nice to save.0

I presume they will not take it back if they spot the engine fault, does it have any warranty left?0

They wouldn't notice the fault with the engine its that minor at the moment.
The car is a SEAT and its 4 years old. I can only think it would be fine if it was a Honda!0 -

Hi Chrisash, how come you can't get rid of it, I did this a few years ago and didn't really have any hassle, I think it may depend on the finance company, the reason I ask is I am about to buy a car on HP over 5 years but knowing me I may want to change in about 3-4 years.0
