That is a tricky question for a Sunday afternoon! None of us are at work so we can't make any phone calls re turbo new or turbo recon/remanu!
Suggest you google - you won't get a definite price, but may find something close to what you could expect to pay.Genie

Dont have a clue but what age of car is it?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MONDEO-2-0-TDCi-TURBO-TURBOCHARGER-130ps_W0QQitemZ250506690927QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3a535cc16f&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
It's a reconditioned unit.0 -
if you can live without the car for a few days they can sometimes be repaired for less than a recon unit0
-
how old the car?
2001 Y reg shape (Mk3) did suffer turbo problem, quite common apparently, but we've only ever done 2 of them.
Get one from a breakers yard for a hundred quid or so.0 -
There should be plenty of scrap or reconned units around.
Does the engine still run normally (albeit without turbo)?0 -
no the car is completely not working !!0

The rise in sales of turbo diesel cars must be music to the ears of garages.

I have run turbo diesels of various makes for the past 10 years, some of them to very high mileages, and never had any problems.0 -
