New phone line without credit check

Hi All,
We presently don't have a connected phone line, hence the need for a new phone line. We have has a share of financial problems over the last year which means it is highly unlikely we would make it through a credit check and be accepted.
We are now in a position of wanting to get the phone line reconnected after not having one for just over a year, it would mainly be used for broadband.
Was wondering if anyone new who could connect a BT line without the need for a credit check, would prefer not to go through BT have we have had problems with there customer service on more than one occasion, I believe they deliberately mislead us the last time we contacted them.
Regards

You would most likely not fail a credit check... just have to pay some form of deposit. You said yourself you have had your share of financial problems so a deposit might not be such a bad thing. It is fair enough for any company to ask a deposit if your finances are bad... and after all it would be refunded if you keep up your bills :P.0

Thanks for the advice, any ideas on alternatives to BT for getting the line connected.0

There are a few alternatives... Are you in a cable area? If so you could get internet without a phoneline. There is also a variety of companies who can connect up likes worth having a look around at phone providers.0
