Does Sainsburys deliver Groucery shopping to Apartment??

  • I suggest sending an email to all of them saying you would like to know what their policy is on bringing things to the door for apartments. Say you are thinking of switching to another online supermarket (for those who you are shopping with already) or you are thinking of switching to their services (for those who you're not currently shopping with) and explain (nicely) that the whole reason you pay extra for delivery is so that you don't have to carry it up those stairs!

If it's their policy to deliver to the door but their drivers aren't doing it then they may start telling the drivers they need to if they realise it is losing them customers. At the least, you'll get a clear idea of what they're all supposed to do.

I live in apartment on a high floor.
I will order a lot of food shopping so I prefer them to deliver to my my door (I will order with no plastic shopping bag as well).

If you live high up, why would you order without bags? It's just making things more difficult for the driver. I realise you get green points, but I would have thought this option more suitable for people getting things delivered to ground floor flats and houses.

I have a first floor flat and both Tesco and Asda bring the bags to my door. Never tried any other supermarkets, but I wouldn't expect any problems.

Hi, I have been doing this with tesco since long time ago. The main reason is because of Global warming. It's getting more serious nowadays. I am not expecting to get green points for that. However, living in the apartment, I may have to start using the plastic bag again.

I have emailed their customer service and waiting for their reply. When I got the answer from them I will post here to let you all know.
  • Here is the reply from them (Sainsbury's)

Thanks for your email about doing online shopping.

I'm happy to tell you that as there is a lift in your apartment the driver will deliver your shopping to the front of your apartment door on the 7th floor.

I'm also happy to tell you that you are in our delivery area.

We appreciate you taking the time to contact us as customer feedback helps us improve our products and services.

    Kind regards

Yep, it's just a short answer as above. So I think I will go for Sainsbury's instead of Asda (I prefer the grocery from Sainsbury's).
