Does Sainsburys deliver Groucery shopping to Apartment??

I am not sure if I can post in this section but I really don't know where to post.
I live in apartment on a high floor. I wanna know if Sainsburys will deliver the shopping to my apartment? Does anyone know?
I only know that Tesco will not deliver to my place. On Sainsbury website, I checked my address with Sainsbury and it's said that they can deliver in my area code. But I am not sure if they will just stop in front of the building and ask me to go down to take all shopping up myself. I will order a lot of food shopping so I prefer them to deliver to my my door (I will order with no plastic shopping bag as well).
Anyone know?

my friend lives in a third floor flat and she has her shopping by tesco taken up to her door, could you not have it delivered in bags, if you have a lift just put shopping bags in lift? this is what they will do • Our driver will not always be able to deliver beyond the communal entrance if there isn't a lift, which transports the shopping beyond the first floor of the building0

I'm really interested in this too, as I live in a block of flats in the middle of a pedestrianised area. Waitrose say the postcode works, as does Tesco and Sainsburys but I wonder if they all have similar clauses...0

I'm 3rd floor, i've found this....
Sainsburys-Deliver to entrance always
Tesco-Dependant on how nice the driver is, but they are a bit moody about not having a lift, so I only do light shops with them
ASDA-Will walk up 3 flights of stairs after parking across the street as van too high to get into parking, still with a beaming smile as long as they are thanked profusely each time you get them pass you a new lot. Lasst order had over 100 tins, 20 bottles of pop, 4 lots of washing stuff etc and chappie was lovely and had a giggle about being able to cancel his gym membership if I do regular shops
ASDA seem far more understanding that there are those who live on a top floor without a lift, who order online as they are not able physically to shop instore or may have high needs families etc.
ASDA drivers also seem much happier doing an 8-10 slot in the evening if they have issues parking etc as theyu tend to pop the van anywhere etc

Driver can not enter carpark due to high restrictions and it is manic here, but between 8-10pm they can get away with 5 mins of bad parking whilst they run manically up 3 flights lol. Well at least asda will0 -

Can you specify the "entrance" for me. You mean they delivered to your flat's door on 3rd floor or They just dropped you on the ground floor?
I just moved into this Apartment. There is a lift in my building. Last time, I saw Sainsburys' driver carried 4-5 big baskets into my building (it was really hard work because he didn't use trolley) so I asked him if he will deliver to customer's door. He said Yes!! However I always shop with tesco so I kind of ignore. Oh...and that was in the afternoon 2-3 pm.
But last time when I ordered food from tesco, the driver just told me to go down. He gave me a reason that he cannot leave the Van (It was 8pm-10pm slot). I am sure it's just his excuse but it's ok.
So I wanna make sure that Sainsburys driver will "always" deliver to my floor. Then I will change my online shop from Tesco to Sainsburys.
I am not sure if it's depending on each driver or not (for Sainsburys). So if you can confirm me it would be great
By the way, where can we find voucher code for Sainsburys? I read somewhere here that it's not allowed to post sainsburys code in this forum.0 -

SorryNope sainsburys driver delivers to main entrance and will not go up the stairs and insists it is the same even with lifts. Called sains customer services and they said the driver 'may' at his or her discretion, but it was highly unlikely with the new breed of 'health and safety' aware drivers. But with a lift maybe they would?
Tesco is hit and miss, dependant on driver, spoke to their cs and they said drivers are more inclined to if the shopping is delivered in bags as opposed to just the crates etc.
ASDA said if you have a fridge we will put in there even if you are 100 floors up and no lift
Why not call your local delivering store and ask them directly, warehouse manager would know the score with their own drivers, regardless of H/O vague policy at sainsburys?0 -

Souns like we're in similar situations...I know that the shops beneath us are allowed to received deliveries late into the evening, so I wonder if the same principle would apply.
Thanks for the heads up on Asda; I'd definitely be interested in shopping with them now :beer:0 -
I thought Ocado actually put stuff in yout fridge for you- but only deliver to "special" areas (meaning those who have loads of £££ to spend). I think this is what Asda pitted themselves against back when they were beginning the service and advertising it, years ago.0

It may depend on which floor you're on. I would have them deliver items bagged as well, as it will be much more hassle for them to get the items out of the crates otherwise, and you're already asking them to climb loads of stairs. Also, you can't get Sainsburys codes randomly on sites like this anymore, the store only does a few targeted codes once in a blue moon.
I've had deliveries from both Sainsburys and Tesco, and both deliver to my door (but I'm on the ground floor). BUT Tesco drivers have told me many times about how they sometimes have to go up four flights of stairs -- maybe that's the limit? You also might try ordering a different time slot and day, as you are more likely to get a different delivery driver then. And if some guy carries your stuff up all those stairs, please tip! We always do if they just bring it into the kitchen!0
