Dubai in 3 days...what to see, can it be done!

I stayed at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi this year. It is a very good hotel and they do various free shuttles to the malls. There is a small supermarket very near so you can buy your cans of drink to go with the duty free you buy at Dubai airport (that is if you like a drink in your room) as you are probably aware how expensive drinks are.
You can easily get taxis from the airport or arrange for the hotel to pick you up - email them first with your times. Taxis are the easiest way to get round and they are reasonably priced.
When we stayed there we arrived around 7am and they still gave us our room straight away so hopefully that will happen for you.
The hotel is more or less opposite the Harbour Hotel where the Observatory bar is located and that is where you will get the best views of the Palm.
The desert safaris normally pick you up around 3pm and drop you around 11pm so you would still have quite a lot of the day to do other things.
Have a great time, and unfortunately if you love Dubai you will want to keep coming back every year!!

Thanks for the tips. Think the safari will be unrealistic on our short time scale, but if everything you say is true - we'll go next year! Hope we can get our room early too, do you think it's worth emailing the hotel to ask or is that a little cheeky?

Love the tip about the drinks, think we'll defo be using that one! Do I need to take towels for the pool or will the hotel provide them?
