Could anyone help me please? Can i pay a cheque made out to my daughter into my account which has funds to cover it, to enable her to have quick access to the cash. i understand you used to be able to sign the back of your cheque and pay it into someone elses account, but am finding conflicting info on Google. Thanks

If the cheque is crossed with the words "Account Payee", which it almost certainly is, it can only be paid into an account that bears the same name as the payee.
So no, even if she endorses the back of the cheque, it should not be accepted if you try to pay it into your account.

Give her the cash. When the cheque has cleared, she can give it you back.0
