Not possible I'm afraid unless someone has a magnificent super duper way of making your bluetooth headset compatible with audio output in the computer.

All a VOIP phone is, is a speaker and microphone through the usb port instead of the sound card.. the pc recognise it as speaker and mic, not a phone...

So if you can configure ur bluetooth headset as a speaker and microphone (which i believe isn't possible) you can do it.. :p

  • This is doable - certainly I can use my Plantronics M2500 with Skype - you need to change the audio device settings to bluetooth audio (having already paired the device in Windows of course)

Thats handy :) My belkin crap thing wouldn't let you "pair" with windows, but only special belkin services.

To change audio settings go to your control panel ( start > settings > control panel) and then click on sounds and audio devices. Then click the audio tab and change playback to your bluetooth device.

You may then have to change the microphone output as well in another tab in the same window.

Once you have finished using it I recommend changing them back so you can listen to music etc as normal :)

I have skype installed on pc.
I have belkin dongle installed on pc.
I then change the audio settings in skype to bluetooth headset (or something along those lines, can't remember off hand)
I then connect the headset to the pc using the bluetooth menu that I get from my system tray.
I then make a skype call.
    Simple as that.
Been using this for a year.

It does work, well i think it will, i only found my bluetooth dongle software last night soi havent had a chance to try it out but my old pc has it on so i paired(does it straight away now) and just chaged the audio options to bluetooth and played some music and i could here it!!!, i could walk around most of the house apart from in the attic it got a bit crackly, but the dongle was in a corner at the back of my pc so when its in my laptop i should be able to get all over if in the right place, thankyou for making this thread as i would have never thought of doing this, i am thanking all people who replied
