    I am recovered (apart from a cough) and planning on my targets for 2010. And here they are:

    - Get F&F offers from all my creditors
    - Be up to date with other payments (ie rent + nursery)
    - Live on £5,000.- for the year (doesn't include: rent, car+travel, child care and study)
    - Declutter: going to go throught the whole house and put everything into one of the following piles:
    * Need it
    * Love it
    * Sell it
    * Freecycle it
    * Chuck it
    - Make as much money as possible from selling all the stuff that I come across
    - Get rid of all my books (approximately 5000 of them :o)
    - Run Sport Relief Mile in March
    - Start Matched Betting again
    - Do at least 3 units towards my professional certification

    I am going to follow my progress in post 2

    Uh oh - I have been very busy. I have set up a spreadsheet for year 2010, made budget for the whole year AND managed to draw cash flow forecast and get it to reconcile with the budget. Sooo chuffed.

    Also been sitting here tonight writing letters to creditors. All in all wrote 4 letters but by cc:ing them sending them to 8 different financial institutes. Lets hope that some action will follow from this. One email still needs to be sent but my brain stopped function about 15 minutes ago so that can wait until tomorrow.

    Now just need to get my opening balance sorted and some payments made and off I go. And of course keep updating the spreadsheet every day or it all falls flat and my situation is not going to get any better.

    Some progress done again today. I have signed up to run 3 miles in Sport Relief Mile and I have tidied up DD's room and threw full binbag of stuff out (when she wasn't looking). None of it was recyclable or freecyclable.

    I have also signed up for the DFW weight loss thread but today I am allowed to od on fudge as BF has just gone home and I just want to have a nice bath with some yummy things to eat.

  • Well done on lists and progress and boo to bFs going home

    Excellent DD bedroom tidying!

    I am reading a book called: Why diets don't work. Actually I have already read it once but now going it through again and doing the exercises. One of the exercises was to make a list of 100 things to do. I was sure when I started that no way I would be able to come up with that many but I did :eek: and actually beyond. Some of them are silly like go and do karaoke but most are about getting the house decluttered and all stuff that I don't need/love and is saleable to be sold.

    I think I am going to review that list and actually start ploughing through it. Please please could I have some energy. Need to find a way to get a second wind after 7 pm.

    Waves at Fay :hello:

    Edit: Uh oh - Did I say that I have over 5000 books that I am intending to get rid of this year? I just ventured to Amazon and spent almost £60 on books... better go to bed before I do more damage...

    Not much progress I am afraid but something at least:

    - Done huge pile of washing, had to stop when ran out of drying space
    - Kitchen is tidy
    - January rent paid
    - January council tax is paid
    - £41.- moved towards MB fund
    - Three letters to creditors yet again written
    - Running shoes bought
    - Jogging bottoms bought with survey money

    Lots still to be done so hopefully have some more progress news later this week.

    Woohoo - second F&F offer accepted. 2 down, 4 to go. Not surprisingly those accepting are not financial institutes.

    Tasks that really need to get done tonight:
    - Update spreadsheets, including opening balance
    - Get papers together for tax credits
    - Call tax credits
    - Clean piggies
    - Clip piggies claws
    - Sort dry washing
    - Tidy house

    I did my first running session yesterday and am suffering a bit today. So today I did a leasurly walk with the dogs. Planning on doing my next training session tomorrow after work.

    Hello again,

    I wonder sometimes if there is anyone out there or if I am just talking to myself. Anyway here is the latest update.

    - House is nice and clean, piggies still need sorting out and there is some washing up and washing to do.
    - I have updated my cashflow but not my opening balances or actuals.
    - I did get the tax credits sorted.
    - Have made payment arrangement to pay back old tax credit overpayment
    - Have given update to council re my income and child care costs
    - Have done now two running sessions.

    Priorities for this weekend
    - Reply to couple of letters re F&F offers that I received yesterday and today
    - Tax return
    - Send letter to BT to sort out landline
    - Finish updating spreadsheets
    - Plan of action re sorting out books
    - Sort out piggies
    - Washing and washing up up to date

    what she said, sorry - tend to very rudely read and run - not like me a consequence of life at the moment - well done on the F&F you've managed, and I know the book thing!

    I've alot of books - great to see you out running, but take it easy!

    I've ventured back to bodybalance (yoga type thing) here which I use to go to alot and it kind of slipped

    Keep up the good work!
